GB raises hope

11 October 2015 is the UN International Day of the Girl; a day to celebrate and champion girls not only in the UK but across the world.

GB’s Advocacy and Participation Co-ordinator Claire Rush says ‘In many communities, girls remain silenced, oppressed, unloved, unseen, forgotten and under-valued. Girls' Brigade loves girls because God loves girls. We're passionate about turning up the volume of hope for girls and building a world where everyone, regardless of gender, is valued equally.’

Across the UK, GB volunteers are investing in girls and enabling them to discover their God-given worth, unleash their giftings and help transform the world around them.

On 23-25 October 2015, in Derbyshire, more than 50 young women are gathering together for the Esther Generation Weekend; just one of the events that GB organises to spread hope for girls.

Claire adds ‘During this weekend, the young women will be using their talents, having fun and exploring how they can be a force for change in their communities.’
